The municipality is looking for ways to improve the sustainability of the city center.
Therefore, we are planning on reducing the amount of parking spots in the Pepergas street.
The current amount of parking spots is well above the mean parking density of our city. And we are trying to make car ownership less attractive.
Our goal is to reduce the amount of parking spots in this street with 50%, to a total of 10 (1 per household). It is our ambition to grant parking permits and to prioritize emission-free cars. In this way, our city could reduce pollution.
We want to redevelop the acquired space that is created by removing parking spots into a small park. This will further improve air quality and can improve social cohesion.
